to access the
brass levers
to operate
the puppet.
The floral
jacquard jacket
is trimmed with
the same sage
green fabric and accessorized
with large brass decorative
buttons.
The wood armature is mounted to a support pole
with a hand
made brass
lever mechanism
which controls
the head movements -- forward/back
and side-to-side.
The hand
gestures move independently
using the rods which, combined with the head movements,
create expressive gestures giving "Jacques" a
life-like quality.
