I am a freelance graphic designer and production artist, primarily for web and print. Serving as both the designer and production artist, I have the ability to take the project from concept to reality, starting with a creative vision and ending a with tangible product.

With a balance of artistic design and technical skills — Right Brain creative thinker with Left Brain linear application — I enjoy the technical end of the design process and challenging myself with intricate complex projects.
The most challenging project to date was for NIADA, an international artists organization, of which, I am a member. They wanted to publish a photo book documenting the history of the artist’s organization. I had previously handled the design and production of NIADA ArtForm, our quarterly BW newsletter, so since I enjoy the process of page layout, decided to take on the challenge of producing my first book. Collaborating with the project director, Shelley Thornton, over one thousand photos were edited down to 630, I then did the color correction and image editing, followed by the design, layout and pre-press production. NIADA Art Dolls: Rich Traditions, New Ideas, a 432 page hard cover photo book was published in 2009.
Working with artist Nancy Wiley to design and produce her 3D illustrated books are among my most favorite projects. Nancy sculpts and photographs each figure in hand painted scene to tell a story from children’s classics: Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, published 2009, Little Red Riding Hood, published 2012, and her latest book Cinderella, or the Little Glass Slipper published 2014.
